| Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian film and television actress for over 20 years. Her credits include the PianoFly Away Homeand X-Men. Although she had no intention of becoming an actress however, destiny arranged it. After her breakthrough in her debut film she received many offers which she turned down in order to concentrate on her studies. Following a highly successful debut film when she was just 14, she was offered roles in Jane Eyre and the Fly Away Homefilms series. In 2000, she portrayed the strong mutant Roguein the X-Men X-Men film series. The role she took was a huge success and she became a global star. She was cast in the same role as Roguein sequels like X2and X-Men the Last Stand. She also appeared on small screens such as in the film the film Bury My Heart At Wounded Kneeforwhich she received her very first Emmy nomination.
