In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna Morello" as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone was a graduate of NIDA. Yael was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's most renowned storytellers. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work in television, film as well as theatre. Yael has a successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael decided to make New York City her home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery is located in Bushwick Brooklyn and works out of Brooklyn to encourage the creative process, and to create new writing.
